There are key areas of cognitive processing that are necessary for learning. These components, or areas of potential breakdown, are often overlooked or considered unrelated to speech and language deficits, and as a result, practitioners are unable to get to the root of an individual's difficulties. Our comprehensive evaluations include speech, phonological processing, language, visual imagery processing of symbols, math, and executive functions. Observation, parent/caregiver/teacher feedback and standardized assessment are integrated to develop a complete learning profile for an individual. We dig deep into each area of cognitive processing which allows us to determine the location and level of processing breakdown.
